FRANKFURT / WOLFSBURG - "You may judge me by what I will turn this award into!" These words by Joachim Franz on the occasion of receiving the Prix Romantik Liebold 2009 by Romantik Hotels & Restaurants were a trigger, a promise and a levelling staff at the same time. The idea for SAFE HOUSE was born. And very soon it was clear: Romantik Hotels & Restaurants will support the project.
SAFE HOUSE is a seal of quality that marks projects for socially, emotionally and financially disadvantaged children, who are directly or indirectly affected by HIV/AIDS. They provide a place where those children encounter warmth, care, affection, friendship, tolerance, justice, love and shelter. Only projects that evidently offer a secure and loving home receive the badge SAFE HOUSE and are being sponsored by donations.
"I was already able to join Joachim Franz for one of his projects myself", Roland Zadra, President of Romantik Hotels & Restaurants, explains "and have seen with my own eyes that the story of a butterfly beating its wings and causing a heavy storm is true. You can achieve great things with little steps - if it is done with commitment, passion and heart. And about this we are a hundred percent sure with Joachim Franz. This will make SAFE HOUSE an incredible project."
At first SAFE HOUSE donation boxes were placed in the German Romantik Hotels & Restaurants, now followed by the members of the cooperation outside Germany. In addition various actions will take place in single hotels to raise money for the good cause.

It administrates and coordinates the donations, checks on the projects before the money is transferred according to collective resolution.
Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung (German AIDS Foundation)
The Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung is the largest and most important AIDS-charity in Germany that offers material support to affected people. International model aid projects are supported as well. Since the Foundation was established in 1987 about 64,000 applications were received and 37 million Euros were used to help. Among the famous patrons of the Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung are actress Hannelore Elsner, Eva Luise Köhler, wife of the German President, and Dr. Theo Zwanziger, President of the German Football Association (DFB).
